Get Ready for Winter
Winter in Edmonton is too long to quit riding altogether. It took you all summer to get that fitness going, why lose it all now and have to start over in the Spring. We have the tools to keep you fit this winter so you come Spring you can be as fit or fitter than you are now. There are 3 options to get riding and you can do all, some or just one but they all work.
Studded Tires Galore

1) Put studded tires on the mountain bike and hit the trails or commute to work. The Schwalbe Ice Spiker for offroad or the Marathon Winter for road are great tires with long-lasting tungsten carbide cored spikes will keep you upright in the iciest conditions. We have studded tires from $59.99 to $159.99.
2) Get an Indoor Trainer, queue up all those old "Lost" or "Battlestar Gallactica" episodes, and get spinning. Cyclops invented the Fluid Trainer but also make magnetic and wind-resistance trainers. All of their trainers are excellent quality; the fluid being quieter and more natural whereas the magnetic and wind ones are less expensive. Cytclops trainers are $249 to $449.
3) Fly somewhere where it is still warm for the winter. This last one is a bit tough for us who aren't independently wealthy but even if you can take a week or two in the winter to do some riding, it has a huge impact on your fitness...and your enjoyment of riding.
