New Mojo SL-R is Here
It's been a long time coming but we have received our first Ibis Mojo SL-R. To celebrate the occasion we had to order it with the top-draw XTR "WTF" parts kit (it's called WTF because you lift the bike and go "WTF!"). The SL-R is 3rd in the evoloution of Ibis' Mojo 140mm travel trail bikes (4th if you count the 140 HD). This bike is state of the art in mountain bikes with its 142x12mm Maxle rear axle, its integrated bottom bracket, tapered headtube, direct mount front derailleur, and the proven DW-Link suspension system. Many of the design features are carried over from the Mojo HD, Ibis' 6 inch travel, burlier trail bike and the SL-R will be almost as stiff. It took so long to come out because Ibis was perfecting a new carbon lay up system to make the frame and didn't want to release it until it was foolproof. This frame is a large and weighed in on "The Heartbreaker" scale at 5.3lbs--pretty amazing for a 140mm travel all-rounder. This bike is one of those "have your cake and eat it too" bikes in that it has trail bike travel and durability but race bike weight.
